Lizette Valles
Lizette Valles is the Founder and Executive Director of Ellemercito Learning Community, a hybrid homeschool community rooted in inclusion, neurodiversity, and healing-centered education. Growing up alongside her autistic sister, becoming a foster-adoptive parent, and navigating her own anxiety have deeply shaped her perspective.
Lizette believes behavior is communication, and the role of adults is to respond with curiosity rather than judgment. At Ellemercito, she creates environments where neurodivergent and neurotypical children learn, connect, and thrive together.
Her work in neurodesign and Learning Space Reset focuses on creating spaces that are kind to the nervous system, fostering safety, regulation, autonomy, and belonging.
Her guiding philosophy is “Stay curious, not furious.” True inclusion isn't asking children to adapt to environments that weren't designed for them. It's intentionally creating environments where everyone can flourish.
