Dr. Esther Hess
Dr. Esther (Estie) Hess is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 40 years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating developmental, emotional, and mental health challenges. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for the Developing Mind, a multidisciplinary treatment center based in Los Angeles that provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children, adolescents, and young adults with complex developmental and regulatory needs.
Founded under Dr. Hess’s leadership, the Center for the Developing Mind brings together behavioral, psychological, and therapeutic services in one integrated setting, supporting individuals impacted by autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety, selective mutism, mood disorders, trauma, and developmental delays. Her work emphasizes thoughtful diagnosis, individualized treatment, and long-term family support, with a strong focus on understanding the whole child.
